  • The following shots can now be taken on RICOH THETA S. You can configure the settings from the smartphone app.
    -Interval composite shots *1
    -My Settings *2
    -Color temperature specification shots
    *1:Interval composite shooting is: when you take several photographs in succession to create a composite image that retains the bright areas of each shot. It can be useful, for instance, to take shots of the night sky from a fixed position and record the path of the moon and stars in the sky. Use a tripod to stabilize the camera when taking these shots.
    *2: You can save shooting conditions set with a smartphone on the camera. Shooting conditions registered in My Settings will be enabled when you turn the camera on while not connected to a smartphone.
  • UVC 1.5 is now supported, so live streaming can be output in full HD 30 fps.

*Requires the latest version of the smartphone app (iOS 1.11.0 or above, Android 1.11.0 or above).

  • Photos can now be taken using a self-timer (still images).*1
    -To take photos using the self-timer, hold the WiFI button while turning on the power. The THETA S will initialize in self-timer mode, and the lamp above the shutter button will shine green.
    -When the shutter button is pressed while in self-timer mode the light will begin flashiing green, and a photo will be taken after five seconds.-The amount of time before a photo is taken in self-timer mode can be changed using the smartphone app.*2
    *1：When the THETA S is initialized in self-tiemr mode, videos cannot be taken.
    *2：Requires the latest version of the smartphone app (iOS 1.6.0 or above, Android 1.6.0 or above).

    *Requires the latest version of the smartphone app (iOS 1.3.0 or above, Android 1.3.0 or above).
    *When shooting with HDR Rendering, four images with differing exposure parameters can be shot and rendered to generate images in a broad dynamic range. Secure the camera to a tripod, etc. before using this function.
