You can use the basic app for smartphone to view still images and videos saved in the camera or transferred to a smartphone.
- Connect the camera to the smartphone.
- Tap [×] at the top left of the shooting screen of the basic app for smartphone.
- Transferred still images and videos are displayed in [Device images].
- Select where still images and videos are saved.
- [Device images]
- A list of still images and videos transferred from the camera to the smartphone is displayed.
- Still images and videos can be displayed in either timeline or thumbnail format.
- Still images and videos can be viewed even when the smartphone is not connected to the camera.
- [Cam images]
- A list of still images and videos saved in the camera is displayed.
- The display can be toggled between [Not transferred], [Transferred], and [All].
- Tap the still image or video to be viewed.
- The selected still image or video is displayed in the Viewer.
Caution
- It takes a long time to transfer long videos, and the battery may run down during the transfer.
- Videos with the video size set to [8K] (10 fps), [8K] (2 fps), [5.7K] (30 fps), [5.7K] (10 fps), or [5.7K] (2 fps) cannot be transferred. Videos with the video size set to [4K] (60 fps) may not be transferred depending on the smartphone used. If you cannot transfer videos to the smartphone, use the basic app for computer to play them back.
Note
- When a still image or video is selected in [Cam images] and displayed in the Viewer, the selected still image or video is transferred from the camera to the smartphone.
- When a memory card is inserted in the camera, the still images and videos saved in the memory card are played back. If you want to play back the still images and videos saved in the internal memory, turn off the power of the camera, and then remove the memory card.
- Still images and videos in the camera cannot be played back while shooting a video.
Viewer
You can display a desired area of a spherical image shot with the camera, and zoom in or out to check details in the image.
- Zooming in or out: Pinch out, pinch in
- Changing the displayed area: Swipe or flick
Tap the screen when a still image or video is displayed in the Viewer to display the buttons and perform various operations.
- When [Cam images] is selected
: Returns to the image list.
: Posts the still image or video to a social networking service.
- When [Device images] is selected
: Returns to the image list.
: Posts the still image or video to a social networking service.
: Displays the previous still image or video.
: Displays the next still image or video.
: Deletes the still image or video.
: Changes the display format.
: Edits the still image or video using the basic app, such as adding a blurred effect to a still image (iOS only) or extracting a part of a video.
- During video playback
: Returns to the screen before playback.
: Returns the display area to the default state.
: Repeats playback from the beginning.

: Plays back/Pauses the video.
: Changes the display format.
