By using the app for computer, you can perform operations such as viewing and sharing images transferred from the camera with your computer.
- Basic app:
- RICOH THETA
- This is the app for viewing and sharing shot still images and videos with the computer.
- Access the following site with the computer.
https://support.theta360.com/en/download/ - Select the RICOH THETA X tab, and then click [Download] for the basic app that is compatible with the computer OS.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to download the app.
Note
- The download procedure may differ from the actual procedure due to website updates, etc.
- Log in to the computer using a user account with administrator privileges to install the app.
Recommended Computer Environment
Before viewing and sharing the shot images with the basic app for computer, it is necessary to transfer the images from the camera connected with a USB cable to the computer.

Caution
- The USB function may not work properly if the OS of the computer has been upgraded.
- Correct operation may not be possible if the OS environment is changed or with certain service pack releases.
- Correct operation may not be possible when the camera is used in combination with a USB hub or other USB devices.
When Transferring Images with a Size of More than 4 GB to a Mac
The file transfer app needs to be installed to transfer images with a size of more than 4 GB to a Mac.
