Transferring Shot Still Images and Videos to the Smartphone

You can transfer the still images and videos saved in the internal memory or memory card to a smartphone.

  1. Connect the camera to the smartphone.
  2. Tap [×] at the top left of the shooting screen of the basic app for smartphone.
    • Transferred still images and videos are displayed in [Device images].
  3. Tap [Cam images].
    • A list of still images and videos saved in the camera is displayed.
  4. Tap .
    • The selection screen is displayed.
  5. Select the still image or video to be transferred.
    • Multiple still images and videos can be selected. A check mark appears for selected still images and videos.
    • Tap (Select All button) to select all still images and videos. Tap (Cancel button) to cancel all selections.
  6. Tap [Transfer].
    • The transfer starts and the progress is displayed on the screen.
    • To cancel the transfer, tap [×], and then tap [Cancel transfer].

Caution

  • It takes a long time to transfer long videos, and the battery may run down during the transfer.
  • Videos with the video size set to [8K] (10 fps), [8K] (2 fps), or [5.7K] (30 fps) cannot be transferred. Videos with the video size set to [4K] (60 fps) may not be transferred depending on the smartphone used. If you cannot transfer videos to the smartphone, use the basic app for computer to play them back.

Note

  • With [Transfer method] on the [Settings] screen of the basic app for smartphone, you can select whether to copy or move the still images and videos in the camera when they are transferred.
  • When [Display after shooting] is set to on on the [Shooting settings] screen of the basic app for smartphone, if you use the shutter button of the basic app to shoot a still image, the image is automatically transferred to the smartphone. Videos are not transferred automatically.
