Various Shooting

This section introduces various shooting methods with this camera.

Shutter button:
You can start shooting by pressing the shutter button of the camera.
Touch shutter:
When the touch shutter function is turned on on the camera setting screen, you can start shooting by tapping inside the frame displayed on the LCD panel.

Caution

  • When the touch shutter function is set to on, you cannot hide the shooting information even if you touch and hold the LCD panel during shooting. The Live View display area cannot also be changed.
Self-timer:
You can perform shooting using the self-timer function.
Tap the self-timer button on the shooting screen of the camera to turn on and off the self-timer function. The self-timer function can be turned on and off separately for still image shooting, video shooting, and shooting with My Settings.

Caution

  • The self-timer function cannot be used for the retrospective video shooting.
  • When the shooting method is set to [Time Shift], the countdown time set in [Self-timer] is not applied.
Retrospective videos:
You can shoot retrospective videos by pressing and holding the shutter button in the video shooting mode.
When [Recording standby] is displayed, retrospective video recording can be started. A video can be recorded from the state 2 seconds before you release your finger from the shutter button.

Caution

  • Retrospective videos are not recorded before [Recording standby] is displayed.
  • The self-timer function cannot be used for the retrospective video shooting.
Remote Control TR-1:
When the camera is connected to the Remote Control TR-1 (sold separately), you can start shooting by pressing the shutter button of the Remote Control TR-1.

Caution

  • The retrospective video shooting is not possible with the shutter button of the Remote Control TR-1.
Smartphone:
When the camera is connected to a smartphone, you can start shooting by pressing the shutter button displayed on the basic app for smartphone.
